Planning international projects to globalize historical archaeology can be difficult if only one part (the planning part) thinks globally. In many parts of Central Europe, for example, the global aspect of historical archaeology has not been perceived which might be the biggest obstacle with such ambitious but absolutely fascinating projects. The Leicester meeting in 2013 might be a really good chance to encourage and inspire global thinking if you can get continental Europeans involved. Once the global scale is appreciated I am sure people are eager to collaborate.
