We have only begun to thank the agencies, institutions, departments, companies, and individuals that support our volunteers and want to recognize everyone’s SHA volunteer efforts as well. East Carolina University provides support (and student assistants) to Charlie Ewen, which makes him an effective Reviews Editor.
Geoscience Earth & Marine Services, Inc. (GEMS) affords Kim Eslinger’s time as the Technology Committee Chairperson. And we need her help.
Historical Perspectives, Inc. let the SHA borrow some much-needed time and effort for Sara Mascia to be SHA Treasurer (2006-2008). Sara’s been re-elected for another term.
New South Associates, Inc. goes above the call-of-duty while supporting Joe Joseph as Journal Editor (2008-2010) and Mary Beth Reed as Co-Journal Editor (2008-2010). The amount of time, energy, and materials that these two spend for the SHA is quite remarkable.
Past Forward, Inc. provides Rebecca Allen the time to act as an Associate Editor, working on the website, journal, and with co-publications. Her business partner was also very patient while she was the SHA Editor (2005-2007).
The PAST Foundation affords Annalies Corbin the time and patience to be the influential SHA’s Co-Publications Editor.
Simon Fraser University gave David Burley backing while he created the Technical Briefs in Historical Archaeology website publication as the series’ first editor (2005-2008). Go to http://www.sha.org/publications/technical_briefs.cfm to see the fruits of his labor.
Sonoma State University sustained Margaret Purser during her time on the SHA Board of Directors (2006-2008) and as chair of the Public Education and Interpretation Committee.
Spectral Fusion, the web and graphics design team at the University of Montana helped to create a world-class website for the SHA. Although "hired" by the SHA, the Spectral Team has spent many many above-the-call-of-duty hours to make us look good. In 2009, the SHA gave Spectral Fusion an Award of Merit for their efforts.
The University of Delaware’s Department of Anthropology supports Lu Ann De Cunzo during her time as SHA President (2008-2009).
The University of Montana’s Department of Anthropology helps to give to the SHA the wonderful and talented energies of Kelly Dixon, Website Editor, and Chris Merritt, Webmaster.
The University of Tennessee, Chattanooga supported Nick Honerkamp during his term on the SHA Board of Directors, 2006-2008. (Nick and his band also regularly play during SHA conferences. We’re not sure if the university has anything to do with that, but we are grateful).
Colleagues at the University of West Florida encouraged Bill Lees to be the President Elect (2008-2009), following upon his stint as Newsletter Editor. Bill was also instrumental in bringing the 2010 annual meeting to Amelia Island, Florida.
The University of West Florida also supports the efforts of Della Scott-Ireton as Co-Publications Associate Editor and the Conference Chair for the 2010 Amelia Island Annual Meeting. Brave Della!
West Michigan University supports Michael Nassaney as SHA¹s Secretary. The University generously provides printing and copying materials for the long-term care and storage of the SHA's archives and memorabilia.
The University of South Alabama Center for Archaeological Studies kindly lent the time for Greg Waselkov to act on the Board of Directors (2004-2006), be an Associate Editor (1999-2007), and he currently serves on the Website Editorial Committee. Greg and Sarah Mattics also helped during the website transition during 2005
